Mumbai Indians could be staring at another leadership transition ahead of IPL 2027, with reports suggesting captain Hardik Pandya is likely to part ways with the franchise after a turbulent two-season stint that failed to meet expectations.

According to a PTI report citing tournament sources, Pandya had informed the Mumbai Indians management during the IPL 2026 season that he was mentally exhausted and keen to move on after the campaign. The report said both parties eventually reached an understanding on mutually parting ways once MI’s playoff hopes faded.
