A mum who stabbed her friend six times at a birthday party has been jailed after she turned up to her previous sentencing hearing drunk.

Gemma Sparks, 38, slashed Kimberly King numerous times in the attack at a house in Herne Bay.

Judge Mark Weekes was forced to adjourn the sentencing hearing so the courtroom would remain "dignified", as an incapacitated Sparks was carried into the dock by her family.
