Disney's live-action spectacle 'Mufasa: The Lion King' is roaring at the Indian box office. The film that is still in its first week, earned an impressive Rs 14.25 crore net on its sixth day across all languages. The prequel to the 2019 blockbuster 'The Lion King' has managed to hold its ground, despite stiff competition at the box office.
The film, according to Sacnilk, showcased remarkable resilience, particularly with strong occupancies in English (63.06%), Hindi (51.62%), and Tamil (60.33%) on the Christmas Day holiday. The film, directed by Barry Jenkins, has already grossed around Rs 64 crore (including 3D charges) in its first five days in India. With robust pre-sales and a surge in collections on Christmas, 'Mufasa: The Lion King' is set to enter the Rs 100 crore gross club by Saturday.
