A person was taken to hospital in Bristol this morning after an early morning collision involving a motorbike and a car.
Emergency services rushed to the scene of the incident on Winterstoke Road, Bedminster, after the collision shortly before 7.15am on Monday (July 11). Police and ambulance crews attended the scene and one patient was later conveyed to the Bristol Royal Infirmary.
The road was closed for around two hours to allow officers to conduct recovery work in the area. No information was offered on the injuries of the persons involved in the collision.

A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 07.23hrs to a road traffic collision in the Bedminster area. We sent a double-crewed land ambulance and conveyed one patient to Bristol Royal Infirmary.”
Speaking on the incident, a spokesperson from Avon and Somerset Police said: “A motorbike and car collided shortly before 7.15am this morning (Mon 11 Jul) in Winterstoke Road. Emergency services attended the scene.
“Officers remained in the area while recovery work was carried out. The road was fully reopened by about 9.40am.”
