During the summer heatwave in the UK, many of us will have stripped off, wearing our shortest clothing in an attempt to stay cool. One mum did just this on June 17, donning a white crop top from ASOS while out and about in 32C weather - but her choice of outfit, unfortunately, meant she was refused entry to a local pub garden as staff deemed it "inappropriate".
Emma Prince claims she was denied entry to the Wolvertone House pub in Milton Keynes by a female employee as her crop top didn't meet the dress code. A manager is said to have insisted she was wearing "nothing more than a bra" and told her to cover up. Emma and her friends had hoped to get some food but says she was forced to go and change into a baggy t-shirt she had in her car before she was allowed to set foot into the bar.

Following the incident, the 35-year-old mum shared photos of her top on Instagram and Facebook, where the posts quickly went viral.
Some people were cruel and criticised her appearance - but there was one overwhelming response Emma hadn't been expecting.
"A lot of the messages that I was getting on there were quite abusive, telling me I shouldn't be leaving the house in that kind of top," she said.
"That I'm disgusting, I'm a slob, I'm a bad mum and I could expect social services at my door. It was just wild.
"And all because I wore a crop top in a beer garden on a hot day. It was outrageous.
"A lot of the messages were from men saying that they liked seeing me dressed like that, and that I looked great.
"Loads of them were asking me for my OnlyFans or asking me if I had one. At first I just laughed it off - but after a bit of research I saw how successful you could be on there.
"I just thought I might as well give it a go."
Emma continued: "It was an empowering thing - after being told by the company that I'm not allowed in their premises with that top on, and having so much abuse online. Being told I should have stayed at home and that women shouldn’t wear those sorts of clothes.
"There were so many messages, even from women themselves saying that I shouldn’t have been dressed like that and that I was asking for it.
"Starting the OnlyFans, it was sticking my fingers up at everyone who said that I can’t dress like that because I’m a woman and saying actually, I can do whatever I want with my body."
Since joining the adult-content site less than four weeks ago, Emma has made more than £3,000 by selling photos in racy underwear.
The mum claims she's even made it into the top four per cent of creators in the UK after setting up her account in July.
As well as a fun way to get revenge, Emma says the extra cash has been a "lifeline" amid the cost of living crisis.
"I never thought I’d own a house, or be able to buy a car that wasn’t on finance and now I’ve just got so many visions for the future," she added.
"I’m not having to worry about bills or what me and my little girl are eating because of all this money coming in, it’s insane."
A spokesperson for Wolverton House, said: "Any decisions on dress code is down to the discretion of the restaurant’s manager."
