Morelos and McGregor to leave Rangers as Michael Beale reveals transfer plan in illuminating interview

Michael Beale admits that Alfredo Morelos and Allan McGregor could be for the off in the summer but says that EVERY other player involved in last week’s win over St Mirren is likely be at Ibrox next season.

The Light Blues boss remained tight-lipped over Ryan Kent’s future although the winger wasn’t action in the 5-2 win over the Buddies due to injury but is set to return to training next week so is likely to be involved int the Scottish Cup semi-final showdown against Celtic.

But the likes of John Lundstram and Borna Barisic - who will enter the final 12 months of their Gers deals next year - did play along with Rabbi Matondo who has struggled to make any sort of impact since his arrival at the start of the season from Schalke were involved as was veteran Scott Arfield and fellow midfielder Glen Kamara who have had doubts over their futures. Ianis Hagi also featured and is a reported £3million target for Celta Vigo along with Malik Tillman who is loan from Bayern Munich but Gers have an option to buy.

But Beale told Sky Sports ahead of Sunday’s trip to Aberdeen: “Last week everyone that played - barring maybe Alfredo and Allan - will be a Rangers player next season and it was as strong performance again with five goals. Since I’ve come back in I’ve tried to pick continuity and we’ve seen that a lot of the same players have played and the results in the main have been good with 19 wins in 22 games.

“I’ve been delighted with the application of the players and what I get to do in the summer is add my own stamp on the group a bit more. I always have a fingerprint on the group because I was here when a lot were recruited but I get to really put my stamp on it in the summer and I’m excited by that.”

On Kent’s future with just a month of his deal left, Beale added: “There’s a moment to reveal what’s going to happen and as much as I’d like to tell you everything, I have to keep a bit back. Ryan’s personal stuff is in that as well. Every time he plays he gives me everything the’s got and we have a fantastic relationship going back 10 years so we’re on the same page.”
