Dozens killed in suicide bombing targeting Pakistani passenger train

At least 24 people have been killed after a suicide bomber detonated his explosive-laden car near a railway in the city of Quetta, in southwestern Pakistan, just as a passenger train passed. More than 70 people were also injured in the blast so powerful that two of the train cars overturned and caught fire.

A suicide bomber detonated an explosives-laden vehicle near a railway track as a passenger train passed through the southwestern Pakistani city of Quetta on Sunday, killing at least 24 people and wounding more than 70 others, a senior official told AFP.
