Martin Lewis issued his verdict on Liverpool as he returned to the city.
The consumer champion arrived in Merseyside last week for Money Show Live's end of season special. The programme was broadcast from St George's Hall as Martin shared valuable tips to steal a march on the upcoming April price hikes.
Before filming started, the 50-year-old finance guru was cheered by the audience as he revealed he went to primary school in the city. Martin took to Facebook and shared snaps of himself exploring the city during his visit to Liverpool.

He shared a photo alongside a statue of The Beatles alongside the caption: "Trying to get my steps in around Liverpool but these four guys just got in the way!"
A fan took to the comments and asked Martin for his verdict on the city's transformation since he was in school. Rachel Ucko said: "Martin Lewis Liverpool has changed a lot since you were at school there hasn’t it?"
The Money Saving Expert heaped praise on the city as he swooned over Liverpool. He responded: "Very much. City looks beautiful. Wonderful regeneration."
