Consumer expert Martin Lewis has offered some useful money saving advice to people who are married.
On ITV's Martin Lewis Money Show, he said married couples may be missing out on hundreds of pounds. He said: "There are up to 2.1 million eligible couples who are not claiming this tax perk.
"You must be a non-taxpayer married to a basic 20% taxpayer. The non-taxpayer uses gov.uk to transfer 20% of their tax free allowance."
