A Christmas Grinch was caught on camera stealing a parcel from outside a home moments after it was left under a wheelie bin by a delivery driver.
Footage showed the Evri driver walking through the gate and leaving the package in the garden.
Moments later, a man scurries into the yard and removes it from the hiding place.
Nikola Howell, a recovery practitioner was out helping her stepdad, when the package was delivered.
She had been expecting a Boohoo parcel for her mother, who was ill in hospital with kidney problems.
Nikola, from Walthamstow, London, said: “He did not ring the bell or knock on the door.
"He walked through the gate pulled my green bin, put it in front of my door and left the package.
"That was like having a target on my door. He delivered it at 1:29 pm and it was stolen at 1:42 pm because of his stupidity.
"He could have asked a neighbour to take the package or leave it behind the bin."
Nikola claimed that her Evri account stated the parcel had been delivered at 21:11, despite her being home at the time.
The incident was not the first time Nikola had a parcel stolen, but she did not have a security system to capture it on video at the time.
The parcel contained four items including trousers, a jumper and two shirts, totaling £35.
Boohoo refunded her order and gave her a £15 voucher, while Evri gave a £30 refund as a "goodwill gesture" and has taken it up with the local courier management.
A representative for Evri said: "We have apologised to the customer regarding this case, and offered them a goodwill payment to cover the cost of the parcel.
"In addition, a refund has been arranged by the sender.
"We train our couriers on what constitutes a safe place and have followed up directly with the courier involved.
"Evri takes security and fraud prevention extremely seriously.
"Our teams across the country are working extremely hard to make sure parcels are safely delivered as soon as possible, and we thank everyone for their patience and understanding."
It comes after neighbours were furious when a Grinch stole windscreen wipers from nearly every car in a street.
Up to 50 cars were vandalised in the senseless wrecking spree, which has prompted a police investigation to track down the culprit.
The suspect was captured on CCTV crossing a street in a residential area to scratch 'LOL' on vehicle windscreens.
