Molly-Mae Hague cuts ties with PLT after stepping down from £5m Creative Director role

Molly-Mae Hague has appeared to have cut all ties with PrettyLittleThing after announcing that she stepped down from her role as Creative Director of the fast fashion company.

The former Love Island star, 24, told her fans that she decided to step away from the role in a bid to focus on motherhood after welcoming her first child, daughter Bambi, in January this year.

Even before she shot to fame on Love Island in 2019, where she met and fell head over heels for her now boyfriend, Tommy Fury, Molly had worked as a social media influencer and had promoted the brand on her Instagram and YouTube channel.

And after she quickly became the most successful contestant from her series of Love Island, Molly-Mae secured a huge fiancial deal with the Manchester-based retailer, with her eventually going on to bag the role of Creative Director in 2021.

However, earlier this month, Molly-Mae announced in one of her YouTube vlogs that she had decided to step down from the £5million pound role in order to focus on motherhood as she continues to juggle her fake tan brand, Filter, along with several other commitments.

Following on from her unexpected confession, Molly now appears to have cut all ties with the fast fashion brand after overhauling her Instagram bio.

The much-loved social media influencer has ditched any mention of PrettyLittleThing from her Instagram bio, which previously read: "Creative Director @prettylittlething."

Now, Molly's bio simply references her own tanning brand Filer and her home and interiors account for her Cheshire home, which she shares with her boyfriend Tommy.

Molly was reportedly paid a whopping £400,000 per month for her role as Creative Director with PLT but has ditched the eye-watering salary for other commitments.

Announcing that she was stepping down from the role, Molly said earlier this month: "Myself and PLT have decided collectively that as much as the creative director role was incredible and I have literally loved being the creative director of PLT more than anything - it was such an amazing chapter for me - it has naturally come to an end.

"I am a mum now. I never really gave myself a maternity leave and I got straight back into work instantly because my work is my phone and showing my life is my work.

"There were just certain areas of my life where I had to re-evaluate. The last thing I would want to be is in a role that I can't fulfil right now at this moment in my life.

"There is no drama, there is absolutely no tea, there is nothing that has gone on."

"It was the most incredible pinch-me moment. I will never ever not be grateful to that business for what they have done to my career."

The Mirror has reached out to Molly-Mae's representatives for comment.
