Miriam O’Callaghan appears to back Patrick Kielty as the next host of the Late Late Show.
The Prime Time host was the first presenter to rule herself out of the running for Ryan Tubridy’s job when he steps down on May 26.
Now, the mum-of-eight appears to tip the Co Down man as the next host for the Friday night chat show.
Tweeting an old interview she did with Kielty, she wrote: “There’s a lot of chat rt (right) now about @PatrickKielty presenting the @RTELateLateShow – he’s an incredibly interesting and thoughtful guy.

“If u want to get to know him a bit more, listen to him here chatting to me in a v reflective interview last year on radio.” (sic)
Last month, Miriam quashed all rumours she was in the running for the coveted job.
In a statement on Twitter, she said the speculation over her being “one of the favourites to take over the Late Late Show is very flattering” but that “won’t be happening” because she has not put herself forward for the job.
She described the Late Late Show as the “jewel in the crown of Irish broadcasting” and an “institution stitched into the fabric of Irish life” but, she added: “I love my job too much on Prime Time to leave it”.
