Millions of iPhone users could be entitled to payout over slow battery claims

Around 25 million iPhone users could be entitled to compensation amid claims that a system update slowed down older versions of the smartphone.

Consumer champion Justin Gutmann has launched an ambitious £750m legal bid linked to an incident in 2017 around a power management tool on older models of the iPhone.

Mr Gutmann has accused the tech giant of slowing down the performance of some iPhone handsets - which is known as ‘throttling’.
