Three is a magic number for these inseparable sisters who are celebrating a combined 120 years on the planet.
Gillian Sevill, Brenda Ross and Kathleen Senior (all née Ross) were born within moments of each other on April 18, 1962. Known to all as 'the triplets', the trio became local celebrities when their then highly unusual birth was announced, and their milestone birthdays have often featured in the pages of The Evening Chronicle.
On Sunday they enjoyed an early birthday celebration at the Queen Victoria pub in Gosforth surrounded by friends and family.
