Juventus are eyeing a move for Chelsea's Timo Werner as they consider replacements for Alvaro Morata.
The Spanish forward is in his second spell at the Italian side but is heavily linked with a move to Arsenal. A switch to the Emirates is thought to be close as the Gunners look to add some much needed firepower having lost several forward options in recent months.
Morata headed to Turin on a two-year loan deal last term but has previously played in the Premier League with Chelsea. His time at Stamford Bridge was mixed with the Spaniard scoring 24 times before departing. Nevertheless Mikel Arteta is keen on his fellow Spaniard.
It would leave Juventus light in attack however and they see Werner as the man who could fill the void. The German has just finished his second season at Stamford Bridge but is yet to hit the heights expected of him following his £47.5m move from RB Leipzig.
Werner has scored 23 times since heading to west London, but his lack of potency forced the Blues to add Romelu Lukaku last summer. It has left the forward playing a squad role, but Juventus could offer him more regular minutes. Werner's agent, Volker Struth, visited the Italian side's headquarters back in April, according to Tuttosport.
The forward has previously shown his appetite for goals, excelling in the Bundesliga. During his time in Leipzig Werner scored 95 times - including 34 in his final season. He's also done it on the Champions League stage which may further his appeal.

Thomas Tuchel, the man making the selection calls at Chelsea, claimed towards the end of last season that his compatriot was still adapting to the Premier League. He said: "At some point there are no words, you must help yourself. You sign for Chelsea, you sign for a top club, you have to live up to it and accept the pressure that comes with it. And you also have to help yourself. It means when you come on the pitch, you have to be ready when the chance comes, and this is what he did.
"His attitude has always been good. But he still needs to adapt, because he used to play regularly and used to play for teams that were built for him. He played for a transition team before and sometimes we have lots of possession. Werner needs to adapt to the physicality of the league. It’s still a process but it was a step in the right direction."
