Midlothian motorcyclist 'stable' in hospital after horror crash with VW

Police are appealing for witnesses after a Midlothian man was rushed to hospital following a serious motorbike crash.

The 41-year old motorcyclist was taken to the Royal Infirmary on the morning of Friday 2 June after the incident occurred on Melville Dykes Road in Lasswade.

The man, who was riding a Ducati motorbike, is in a stable condition according to hospital staff. However, police are keen to find out more about the collision involving a Volkswagen Passat, the owner of which was treated for injuries by ambulance staff at the scene.
