Michaela Walsh and Jennifer Lehane have both advanced to the round of 16 at the European Games in Poland with wins on Saturday afternoon.
Belfast native Walsh dominated her 57kg bout with Greece's Olga Papadatou, winning 5-0 on the judges' scorecards, while Lehane overcame a tough bout with Sara Cirkovic of Serbia, winning 3-2 in the 54kg division.
The victories mean that the Irish pair are now just two wins away from securing their respective places at the Paris Olympics next summer.
