Met office weather forecast for Nottingham as final weeks of school holidays approach

Extreme temperatures across Nottinghamshire and the rest of the UK are not something many want to see again soon. In July 2022 the temperature at Cambridge Botanic Garden hit an eye-watering 38.7C. However, just a few sunny days to see out the rest of the school summer holiday are always welcomed by parents hoping to get outside with their offspring.

Of course, not everyone will be looking for the same thing from a weather forecast. Gardeners across the county will be praying for many more days of steady rain to turn their scorched gardens into green havens again. So, what can we expect for the next few weeks?

Weather experts at the Met Office have shared their forecast for the weeks ahead and it looks as though there is something for everyone. This week, temperatures return to more typical figures - between Thursday August 18, and Sunday August 21, highs of 23C are expected.
