Met Office Liverpool forecast as hot weather to return this weekend

People who enjoy warmer weather are in for a treat this weekend as the mercury is set to rise again.

After some cooler and wetter days, the sunshine is predicted to return on Friday with the Met Office forecasting highs of 23C, and the BBC saying it could get as warm as 26C. But, unfortunately for those who enjoy the heat, it won't last long.

Saturday is also forecast to be warm, with similar temperatures to Friday, but the rain will follow the short hot spell.

The Met Office said it will be "Drier on Friday and feeling warmer too with winds easing. Turning unsettled again as we head into the weekend with more cloud and spells of rain with strengthening winds."

It said Saturday will likely be cloudy with sunny spells, and showers from around lunchtime. Highs of 23C and lows of 14C. Sunday, it adds, will be somewhat cooler, with sunny intervals "changing to light showers", with highs of 20C and lows of 15C.

Meanwhile the BBC predicts Friday to be sunny all day "with a moderate breeze". Saturday and Sunday are predicted to bring some thundery showers, with highs of 24C on Saturday and 22C on Sunday.

Similar conditions are forecast for Monday, July 10, with a mix of sun, cloud and showers, and highs of 20C.
