Met Eireann have issued a status yellow weather warning - as gusts of up to 100 km/h are expected to batter Donegal over the weekend.
The warning comes into place overnight, kicking in at 3am on Saturday morning and lasts for six hours until 9am.
It reads: "Southwest to west winds will reach mean speeds of 50 to 65 km/h with gusts of up to 100 km/h, higher in coastal areas and on high ground."
On top of that, the UK Met Office have issued a similar warning for Antrim, Armagh, Down, Tyrone, Derry, saying that "strong westerly winds will bring some disruption on Saturday to Scotland, parts of Northern Ireland and northern England"
The warning for the Northern Irish counties lasts a little longer, coming into effect at 4am on Saturday morning and a second warning lasting until Monday.
Overall, the picture is looking fairly settled elsewhere according to the latest predictions from the Met Eireann boffins.
Saturday
The forecast reads: "Saturday morning will be cloudy, breezy and mild with outbreaks of rain moving southwards across the country. There will be fresh to strong and gusty westerly winds, very strong in the northwest. Drier, brighter and cooler conditions will follow from the north through the afternoon and winds will ease and turn northwesterly. Highest temperatures will be in the morning, ranging between 8 and 11 degrees.
"A mainly dry, clear but cold Saturday night. It will become cloudier from the west overnight with some patchy drizzle developing. Lowest temperatures of -1 to 4 degrees with patchy frost possible and generally light winds.
Sunday
Sunday will see: "A mostly dry start but cloud will quickly build from the west ahead of strengthening southerly winds. A front will move in from the west of the country bringing outbreaks of rain for many areas, heaviest and most persistent in the west and northwest. Highs of 9 to 11 degrees with moderate to fresh southwesterlies."
