Meghan Markle has stepped down from her role with a UK charity in a move interpreted as cementing her life in the US with Prince Harry and their young family.
Animal welfare organisation Mayhew announced on Wednesday that its Royal Patronage with the charity's patronhas ended.
Charity bosses added that it had been "an incredible privilege" to have worked "closely" with Ms Markle since she became the Express three years ago.
