Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly have never been shy about sharing details of their relationship, from tragic miscarriages to controversial blood drinking.
Now, the pair have happy news to share with their world: they’re expecting a baby.
Fox and MGK (whose real name is Colson Baker) have been together since 2020 and, despite brief periods of troubles, have shared many special moments together in the public eye.

March 2020: Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly meet
Fox and MGK met on set in Puerto Rico while filming the movie Midnight in the Switchgrass.
The pop punk star shared a photo of his and Fox’s cast chairs sat next to one another on 11 March 2020, in a now-deleted post.
Although the pandemic shut production down, that wouldn’t be the end of the pair’s connection. They were later seen together on multiple occasions back home in California.
July 2020: Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly give first joint interview
Appearing together on Lala Kent and Randall Emmett's podcast, titled Give Them Lala … With Randall, Fox described MGK as her “twin flame”.
"I knew right away that he was what I call a twin flame,” she said. “Instead of a soul mate, a twin flame is actually where a soul has ascended into a high enough level that it can be split into two different bodies at the same time.
“We're actually two halves of the same soul, I think. And I said that to him almost immediately, because I felt it right away."
July 2020: They go Instagram official
Later in the same month, the couple went Insta official.
The pair posed in a playful black-and-white mirror snap posted on MGK’s Instagram. He wrote in the caption: "Waited for eternity to find you again ... 🔪💫❤️🔪."
One week later, Fox shared a similar photo on her feed, captioning it: "Achingly Beautiful Boy... My heart is yours 🔪♥️🔪."
The post appeared to irk her ex Brian Austin Green, who posted a photo of his four sons (three of whom he shares with the Transformers actress) on social media. He mimicked Fox’s caption, writing: "Achingly beautiful boys...... My heart is yours."
January 2021: Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly spark engagement rumours
Excited fans and press thought a wedding could have been on the cards after Fox was spotted wearing a huge ring in New York City, while in the Big Apple for MGK's Saturday Night Live performance.
However, the engagement rumours proved to be untrue, with a source telling People “there will be an engagement at some point, but they are not engaged now".
January 2022: Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox get engaged
Just one year later, the couple did get engaged, and announced the news in two Instagram posts.
MGK got down on one knee in front of a banyan tree where they’d first sat together in July 2020.
Fox wrote on Insta: "Somehow a year and a half later, having walked through hell together, and having laughed more than I ever imagined possible, he asked me to marry him.
“And just as in every lifetime before this one, and as in every lifetime that will follow it, I said yes…and then we drank each other's blood."
She later clarified the pair consumed each other’s blood for “ritual purposes only”.
MGK shared a detailed video of the emerald and diamond engagement rings he gave Fox and describing the process of designing them.
He wrote: “I know tradition is one ring, but I designed it with Stephen Webster to be two: the emerald (her birth stone) and the diamond (my birth stone) set on two magnetic bands of thorns that draw together as two halves of the same soul forming the obscure heart that is our love. 1-11-2022 ✨."
May 2022: They show off their matching ring-finger tattoos
For Fox's 36th birthday, MGK shared a carousel of images to his Instagram, writing: "Wishing the happiest birthday to my ethereal light being. i love you maki 🔪❤️🕯🕯."
The second photo revealed the couple's matching ring-finger tattoos, depicting voodoo dolls with pinned hearts and visible stitches.
February 2023: Megan Fox hints at breakup
Fox seemed to suggest that she and MGK had split up in an Instagram post, sharing photos of herself and an envelope being burned in a fire pit.
For the caption, she borrowed a line from Beyonce’s hit track Pray You Can Catch Me - which is about infidelity.
"You can taste the dishonesty / it's all over your breath,” it read.
Just a few hours later, Fox deleted her Instagram account entirely.
February 2023: Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly ‘try to work things out’
Just a few days later, a source close to the couple told People that Fox and MGK were “speaking and trying to work things out”.
Fox also returned to Instagram to set the record straight about cheating rumours.
"There has been no third party interference in this relationship of any kind,” she wrote. “That includes, but is not limited to...actual humans, DMs, AI bots or succubus demons.
“While I do hate to rob you of running random baseless news stories that would have been much more accurately written by ChatGPT, you need to let this story die and leave all of these innocent people alone now."
November 2023: Megan Fox reveals she suffered a miscarriage
In her book of poetry, Pretty Boys Are Poisonous, Fox shared how the pair had suffered a miscarriage.
"I’ve never been through anything like that in my life," she said during an interview with Good Morning America. “I have three kids, so it was very difficult for both of us and it sent us on a very wild journey together and separately.”
February 2024: Machine Gun Kelly mentions Megan Fox's miscarriage in new song
MGK also used art to discuss the miscarriage, mentioning it in his song, titled dont let me go.
The musician talks about his "thoughts eating me alive" before singing: "How can I live with the fact / That my hand wasn't on her stomach when we lost the baby."
November 2024: Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly expecting their first child together
The couple shared their happy news on Instagram.
"nothing is ever really lost. welcome back," the actress wrote in an Instagram post, using lyrics from MGK's song "last november" about the couple's miscarriage.
Alongside the caption, Fox shared a photo of herself covered in a black liquid and cradling her baby bump.
She also shared an image of a positive pregnancy test.
