Reality TV exes Megan Barton-Hanson and James Lock are set to come face to face on camera after signing up to the brand new series of notorious MTV reality show Ex On The Beach.
Ahead of the series going to air, the former lovebirds had to endure each other's company at a press event in London on Tuesday after their bitter break-up.
It's thought the former couple felt on edge while they were at the MTV press day, with both Megan, 27 and James, 35 finding the encounter 'awkward'.
An insider said the reunion was Megan's 'worst nightmare' as it came so soon after their whirlwind romance hit the rocks.
"Being stuck in a room with your ex is most people’s worst nightmare and that’s exactly what happened to Megan and James.
"It was a work job so they were both professional but it was awkward and at times you could have cut the tension with a knife. There was a frosty atmosphere to say the least," a source told The Sun.
They added: "Megan and James were there to have their professional photographs taken with the rest of the cast. As soon as they were able to leave there were definite sighs of relief."
The couple ended their relationship last month after a whirlwind few weeks together.
After the split, Megan wanted to focus on her career, particularly on her own podcast, You Come First With Megan Barton Hanson.
Throughout the audio series, the former Love Island star opens up with guests about some of the most taboo and private topics.
She also talks about her love life where she said she'd be open to finding a partner who didn't come from a famous background.
The star did a Q&A where she said: "I’ve said so many times I want someone not in our industry but it’s all I meet when I prioritise work and events. This year I’m putting work second and myself and happiness first! I want to travel loads."
James and Megan are leading the line up of the latest series of MTV's Celebrity Ex On The Beach.
The pair jet off to Gran Canaria where they reunite with previous flames as well as trying to find love themselves.
However, it seems this is where they sparked their own romance between each other.
The pair were together for around two months but it was obvious when they split in December due to erasing all traces of each other from their social media accounts.
However, instead of going into detail as to why they didn't see eye to eye, Megan put it down to 'not working out'.
When a follower asked why they broke up, she wrote back alongside a Halloween throwback photo of her dressed as Julia Robert's Pretty Woman character Vivian: "It just didn't work out, he made a stunning Richard Gere (Vivian's love interest) for Halloween tho."
News of the break up broke just weeks after the two of them jetted off to New York for a romantic trip together in the Big Apple.
