McLennan defends not grilling Jones over Japan report

Hamish McLennan intends to finally uncover the truth about Eddie Jones's links to coaching Japan while still the Wallabies mentor even after being overthrown as Rugby Australia chairman.

Jones on Sunday again denied having a Zoom interview with Japanese officials just days before coaching Australia at the World Cup in France, saying the Sydney Morning Herald report was "a red herring".
