St Patrick's Athletic signing Serge Atakayi has opened up about his “crazy” life so far - from playing football as a child in defiance of his mum to successfully seeking asylum in Finland at the age of 10 to making his SSE Airtricity League debut 24 hours after arriving in Dublin.
The 23-year-old was sprung from the bench during Friday’s 1-1 draw with Dundalk and he had the Saints fans on the edges of their seats with his direct play and quick feet.
It wasn’t until after the Richmond Park stalemate, however, that fans learned more about their exciting new signing.
