Graham Potter has confirmed that Mateo Kovacic will be available for Chelsea's clash with Brighton. But, it comes at the expense of Kalidou Koulibaly, who is set to miss the trip to the Amex Stadium.
The Blues boss added that the centre-half would hopefully be back for the final Champions League group stage clash on Wednesday evening against Dinamo Zagreb at Stamford Bridge. In the meantime, Potter will be looking to keep the remainder of his squad as fit as possible amid a heavily congested fixture schedule.
It must also be said that Chelsea have a pair of blockbuster bouts in the coming weeks. The Blues face table-toppers Arsenal, then Manchester City in the Carabao Cup a few days later before locking horns with in-form Newcastle United.
