Martin Odegaard has insisted Arsenal are in the process of building something "special" under the guidance of manager Mikel Arteta.
The Gunners find themselves sitting sixth in the Premier League, but boast three games in hand over their nearest rivals in Manchester United and West Ham, putting Arsenal in a healthy position when it comes to the race for the coveted fourth spot.
Throughout the course of the current campaign Arteta's side have relied upon their youngest stars to bail them out of trouble or win them games outright and Odegaard certainly falls into that bracket.
Though at just 23 years of age, the Norway national team captain said himself that he is "not the youngest" anymore and is confident those even younger than him will fulfil their full potential.

Odegaard's career is somewhat unique in that he was playing senior football in his home country at the age of 15 before eventually being spotted by Spanish titans Real Madrid.
Therefore, the Norwegian boasts eight years of experience and can be of use to Arteta as someone other players can turn to in times of need - something Odegaard addressed himself.
Speaking to the club's official website, the midfielder said: "I think we’re a very, very interesting group: a lot of young players, and a lot of hungry players.
"I feel like we’re building something special here with all the players and the staff.
"It’s really interesting what we’re trying to do and I’m happy with the situation, very happy to be part of the team and hopefully we can keep improving and get better each game. Then we’ll see where it takes us."
The Gunners have the youngest squad in the Premier League but have exceeded expectation in terms of being in the hunt for top four at this stage of the season.
Odegaard took the time to reflect on his own football journey and how he has seen more than perhaps the average 23-year-old.
"It helps me, to be around players in the same situation [in terms of age]," he added.
"I’ve been through a lot, even though I’m pretty young. In this team I’m not the youngest anymore and I have some experience and I can use that in a positive way, and help the other young players.
"We’re a great group, we have a lot of big young talents but also some more experienced players, I think the mix is good and the team is very hungry. It’s really nice to be part of the team."
Odegaard spent the latter half of last season on loan with the Gunners from Real Madrid, but made the switch permanent in the summer to tune of around £30m.
