Martin Lewis issues urgent advice to drivers to pay £14 fee or face £1,000 fine

Drivers in the UK have been urged to check their license is up to date, with more than two million people holding out-of-date photocards.

The urgent advice came from Martin Lewis on his latest MoneySavingExpert newsletter, as he told readers that failing to renew a license could result in a £1,000 fine. MyLondon also reports that an online application to renew costs just £14.

The process is fairly straightforward, whether you're renewing a driving licence or replacing one that has been lost or stolen, reports the Daily Record.
