Martin Lewis is urging anyone buying Christmas presents to follow 1p payment rule

Money Saving Expert Martin Lewis has issued a warning message to anybody buying last-minute Christmas presents. The finance expert has shared advice that could potentially save you hundreds, if not thousands, by utilizing just 1p.

Writing on his Money Saving Expert (MSE) website, Martin shared tips on how to stay safe while Christmas shopping. Just in time for Christmas, Martin shared his top 10 consumer right know-hows.

One of his tips explained how you can protect yourself while Christmas shopping with just 1p. He said: "For powerful protective voodoo on bigger items, pay at least 1p on a credit card."
