A Martin Lewis fan has shared a simple tip that only takes five minutes and can save you hundreds on car insurance costs.

The MoneySavingExpert reader, known only as Sarah, managed to save herself an impressive £288 on her car insurance after the simple five-minute check. The tool that she used comes from the money mogul's website and is free to access.

Sarah was quoted £650 for her annual car insurance renewal. But after using the MSE car insurance tool, she was able to knock this down to £361.08 - a saving of £288.92, reported The Mirror.
