Married At First Sight UK's Whitney hits back at vile comment about her mum's death

Married at First Sight bride Whitney has hit back at some very hateful comments since her cheating scandal on the show. Whitney, who was married to Duka, caused a scandal when she cheated on Duka with fellow groom Matt.

The affair was revealed at an explosive dinner party and in the episode shown on Wednesday, September 28, Whitney and Matt asked the relationship experts - Paul C Brunson, Mel Schilling, and Charlene Douglas - if they could re-enter the process as a new couple. During her time on the Channel 4 show, Whitney has been sent hate comments and now, after one particularly vile one, she has taken to Instagram to hit back.

Earlier in the series, Whitney revealed her mum tragically died in a car crash and spoke about her loss and grief. Now someone has commented: "Do u think the car that hit your mom was really meant for you?"

Whitney shared the cruel comment on her Instagram Stories and told the troller to "work on yourself and stop lashing out on absolute strangers". She said: "Sending disgusting messages like this isn't going to improve your life in any way and it isn't going to hurt me either. I know what happened to my mum, nothing anyone says or does is ever going to make me feel worse than experiencing that loss."

At the start of the series, many viewers deemed Whitney rude, after she ruined her wedding day when she spoilt the vows, forgot her groom's name and refused to kiss him. Now Whitney is embroiled in the scandal of the series which has seen bride Gemma, who was married to Matt, in tears over his involvement with Whitney.

Controversially Whitney declared at the latest weekly commitment ceremony that she didn't believe she had done anything wrong by kissing and sharing a bed with Matt while they were both still married.
