Sparks flew between Johnathan Wileman and Amy Christophers as they were seen getting friendly after the latest series of Married At First Sight UK, but now Johnathan has lifted the lid on what's really going on. There was reports that Johnathan, who married Sophie Brown from Manchester, might be dating Amy, from the 2022 series, after moving on from his ex-wife.
Things looked to be turning romantic between the pair following the end of Johnathan's relationship with Sophie after they were brought together on their wedding day on the Channel Four matchmaking show. During the Christmas reunion show Johnathan and Amy shared a passionate kiss as they slipped away from the rest of the table.
However, Johnathan has told fans that unfortunately things fizzled out between them romantically, but they are still good friends. "Me and Amy were getting to know each other," he said on his Instagram Stories.

"She helped me a lot from MAFS, always very supportive and then obviously we had the Christmas special," he said. "But to be honest the comments and everything else surrounding it put quite a negative spin on everything so we just thought it best that we just stay good friends and not spoil what we had."
Johnathan says that since the show he's stayed in touch with co-stars Matt Murray, George Roberts, Duca Cavolli, Jordan Emmett-Connelly and Chanita Stephenson. And for Matt, who was married on the show to Gemma Rose before moving on with Duca's wife Whitney Hughes, romance has bloomed with 2021 bride Marilyse Corrigan, who was paired with Franky Spencer on the hit show.
After jetting away on holiday together as friends after his MAFS experience, their relationship blossomed into love and they spent Christmas and new year together. In November Matt Insagrammed a loved-up photo of the pair sharing a kiss and said: "Reality TV is not the real world. This is. Good came from the bad."
The best wishes came pouring in including from fellow MAFS 2022 groom Kwami Badu who said: "Wishing you both the very best of Love." estheredwards3348 said: "So glad u have found ur happy ever after. U look so good together." And clarepinner88 told him: "Love this!!! Love always Wins."
Marilyse's representatives hit back at any claims they're an item while they were holiday, saying: "Marilyse has gone to recover from a marathon which she ran for Kidney Research recently and she’s celebrating with her son that it's a year since donating her kidney to save his dad’s life.
"Matt has gone to recover from the trauma of the show, as you’ll have seen last night it’s taken a toll on his emotional well-being. Marilyse knows oh too well how the public reaction can impact the mental health of the men on the show as she saw how it impacted Frankie. So she’s being nothing more than a supportive friend to him whilst other friends from the show are filming the Christmas reunion."
In November 2021 Marilyse was applauded for donating a kidney to save her ex's life. The personal trainer, who has two teenage sons with her ex, underwent an operation as part of a kidney sharing scheme.
She stepped in to help because her former partner has polycystic kidney disease. When they were together he told Marilyse that he may need a new kidney one day, and she said she would get tested to find if she was a suitable donor.
In 2019, when her ex was told he needed dialysis and a transplant, she stuck to her word but didn't tell him at first. After rigorous tests she was told she was healthy enough to donate a kidney but couldn't directly donate to him.
So instead, the pair took part in a kidney donation scheme. Marylise's kidney went to a woman in need and her ex received a kidney in turn.
