Royal Air Force Poseidon plane boosts Northern Ireland search and rescue capabilities

201 Officer Commanding Wing Commander Rob McCartney led the RAF unit which brought a P-8 Poseidon to Northern Ireland for a joint exercise with the Coastguard and RNLI last week - (PA)

Search and rescue capabilities in Northern Ireland have received a significant boost with the support of one of the Royal Air Force’s latest maritime patrol planes, the Poseidon, aiding the Coastguard and RNLI.
