Maharashtra Cabinet Minister releases Marathi version of 'Dilli ki Bulbul'

Mumbai: The state Cabinet Minister of School Education Dipak Kelserkar released here Marathi version of illustrated children's story book 'Dilli ki Bulbul'.

Speaking on the occasion, Kelsekar said that both environment and morality are key issues for character and attitude formation of children who are the leaders of tomorrow. 

He said story books in regional languages help in further strengthening the languages and keeping the cultural diversity alive.

'Dilli ki Bulbul' has been called Modern Panchtantra by India Today. The book is being used as a text book in California.

As per Dynamite News correspondent, the author of 'Dilli ki Bulbul' is Dr Anita Bhatnagar Jain, IAS officer of 1985 batch who retired as Additional Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh. 

Dr Jain, former Trustee, National Book Trust, Govt of India, has to her credit more than 60 publications on diverse issues. However, her children books, focusing on environment, morality and culture are now available in 15 languages. The French version of her book 'Kumbh' was a part of International Book Fair 2022 held in Paris. 

Bhatnagar has been conferred with many prestigious awards for her various books.

Ashu Jain IRS (R) former Principal Chief Commissioner, Income Tax; Parag Jain IAS, Principal Secretary Port, Transport & IT, Govt of  Maharashtra and Saurabh Jain, MD, Vidya Prakashan Mandir Pvt Ltd were among several dignitaries present on the occasion.
