Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Manu Kone has admitted that he is trying to block out ongoing speculation about his future amid reports linking him with a move to Manchester United.
The 21-year-old, who joined Monchengladbach from French outfit Toulouse in January 2021, has established himself as a first-team regular for the Bundesliga outfit since the beginning of last season, making 54 appearances in all competitions. He has played 25 times this term and has started all but one of their 25 Bundesliga matches this season.
Kone, who started France Under-21s' 4-0 defeat to England on Saturday, is a defensive-minded midfielder who loves a tackle and offers a varied passing range. He is considered one of the most promising youngsters in the German top flight and a whole host of clubs are reportedly expressing an interest in his signature, including United.

The Reds hope to recruit a young midfielder this summer and it is claimed that Kone, who will turn 22 in May, is on their radar. But despite all of the ongoing speculation concerning his future, the Frenchman is fully focused on matters at Monchengladbach, although those closest to him continue to inform him of ongoing rumours.
"At the moment, I am in Monchengladbach," Kone told Le Parisien. "I live well with rumours, I don't pay attention to everything that is said. It's more my entourage and my friends who send me the articles.
"It's a source of pride for them to see my name associated with big clubs, but it doesn't make me hot or cold. I prefer to finish my season quietly. Afterwards, what must happen will happen."
Kone, who is no stranger to a yellow card, earning nine this season, has scored just once for Monchengladbach this term, finding the net in a 4-2 win over Borussia Dortmund back in November. Monchengladbach are currently 10th in the Bundesliga standings.
