NEW DELHI: Manoj Tiwary, the former Indian cricketer, bid farewell to all forms of cricket, marking the end of a remarkable and unique career. While representing the national team, Tiwary appeared in 12 ODIs and three T20Is from 2008 to 2015.
Notably, he took an extraordinary path by venturing into politics even during his active cricketing days. In an unusual move, Tiwary became a minister of state for sports and youth affairs in the state cabinet of West Bengal under the leadership of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
