Manchester United's Amad heaps praise on Facundo Pellistri after Uruguay display

Manchester United youngster Amad has hailed fellow loanee Facundo Pellistri after shining for Uruguay in just his second international appearance.

He made his debut against Paraguay and followed up his first cap by featuring in their comprehensive win over Venezuela, adding to the scoreline with a brilliant solo run before providing an assist for Giorgian De Arrascaeta, who fired in the second.

The 20-year-old, who signed for the Reds in January last year, is currently on loan at Alaves in La Liga and has featured 17 times this season.

With Edinson Cavani on the scoresheet with a stupendous bicycle-kick, they moved into the World Cup qualification spots ahead of Peru with the win and Pellistri posted his delight in the aftermath on the win.

He said on Instagram: "VAMOSSS!!. Very proud to represent my country once again.

"I am living a dream, and that is how I will remember it for the rest of my life.

"That it be at home and with all of you accompanying is the most beautiful thing there is. Let's go Uruguay!"

Amad, who enjoyed a successful debut on his temporary stint with Scottish Premiership champions Rangers, commented: "Que jugador [What a player]."

One user replied to his comment saying: "When ballers are united."

Unfortunately for the 19-year-old Ivorian, his first taste of the Old Firm derby ended prematurely after he was hauled off at half-time in their 3-0 defeat at their fiercest rivals.
