The January transfer window opens on Sunday and Manchester United are in need of reinforcements in more than one area.
The departure of Cristiano Ronaldo before the World Cup has left the club with a hole in their forward line options and United needs a deputy for Diogo Dalot. Aaron Wan-Bissaka has played well in his first two games back from the cold but there are still doubts about whether he can keep it up for the remainder of the season and against harder opposition.
So with those two problems to solve where does Erik ten Hag go from here?

In recent weeks, United have been linked with a move for Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix. Given the high fee the Spanish side initially paid for the forward, it is unlikely they will want to part ways for much less than that so a loan deal has been mooted.
However, according to Calcio Mercato, Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic could also be an option for Ten Hag. The Serbian forward has failed to live up to expectations since he moved from Fiorentina but given the Italian club's financial problems he could be available for a cut price fee and therefore a premium option for United to solve their problems upfront.
But United can't afford to just focus on the forward areas.
In terms of the defence, reports from Tuttomercatoweb have stated that Celtic right-back Josip Juranovic is a target for both United and Chelsea. The 27-year-old played a starring role for Croatia in the World Cup as the national team came third behind France and Argentina.
He would be an alternative to Jeremie Frimpong, who has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford in January from Bayer Leverkusen. Juranovic would slot in more to the deputy role behind Dalot.
