Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has named both Phil Foden and Joao Cancelo on the bench as the champions return to Premier League action at Leeds.
Foden and Cancelo were both key parts of England and Portugal’s respective runs to the quarter-finals at the recent World Cup. Foden came off the bench in the win over Liverpool last week, while Cancelo was left unused. Youngster Rico Lewis is awarded his first Premier League start at right-back.
Elsewhere, City are without Ruben Dias and Julian Alvarez, but Kalvin Phillips is in. Dias is set to be sidelined for a month due to a hamstring injury, while Alvarez has been given time off after helping Argentina win the World Cup.

City manager Pep Guardiola has said England midfielder Kalvin Phillips was “overweight” when he returned from the World Cup and the £45million summer signing from Leeds will not feature against his former club at Elland Road
“He is not injured,” said Guardiola. “He arrived overweight.” When asked why, Guardiola replied: “I don’t know. He didn’t arrive in the condition for the training sessions and to play.”
