Man with Irish accent missing from Edinburgh for over a week amid increasing concerns for his welfare

A man has been reported missing from Edinburgh after vanishing over a week ago amid increasing concerns for his welfare.

Michael Meehan, aged 41, was last seen in the Morningside area of the city at around 12.55pm on Wednesday, August 17.

He has connections to Tayside and was sighted close to Dundee Airport on Sunday, August 21. He may also be in the Perth area.

Michael has been described as 6ft in height, of a slim build with short bushy eyebrows. He also has an Irish accent.

The 41-year-old was wearing a black jacket, blue shorts and black trainers at the time of his disappearance.

Police Scotland are now appealing for the public's help as part of their efforts to trace Michael.

Anyone who may have seen Michael or who has any information on his whereabouts is urged to contact the force.

This can be done by calling 101 and quoting incident number 1641 of Monday, August 22.
