Man who killed wife by pushing her off cliff suing people for 'insulting' him online

A man who pushed his pregnant wife off a cliff to cash in on their accident insurance is suing hundreds of people for damages after they “insulted” him on social media.

Hakan Aysal, 41, and his seven-month pregnant wife Semra Aysal, 32, were on holiday in the district of Fethiye, in the south-eastern Turkish province of Mugla, in 2018 when she fell 1,000ft to her death.

He was found guilty of her murder and sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment earlier this month, meaning he will only be eligible for parole after serving 30 years.
