Manchester United defender Alex Telles has been nominated for the Champions League's goal of the season award.
The Brazilian has been shortlisted for his strike in a 2-1 win over Villarreal in the group stage of the competition. United went behind to Paco Alcacer goal before Telles equalised with a superb volley from a Bruno Fernandes free-kick.
Cristiano Ronaldo stole the headlines that night though after scoring a late winner in injury time to beat the Spanish side. When speaking about the goal back in December, Telles told MUTV: "That was one of the most beautiful moments of my career, it's a moment I will never forget.

"Firstly, because I was playing in a Champions League match for Manchester United and secondly scoring a goal in that context. We were behind, then we equalised, then turned the score around, it was a remarkable evening, an unforgettable evening.
"I share the merit of that goal with Bruno because that pass was his idea. Obviously because of my hard work, confidence and skill that I know I have I was able to score that goal.
"I will never forget that moment. The main thing is making the fans happy, I will never forget how happy they were in the stadium that night."
Robert Lewandowski, Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Karim Benzema have all made the shortlist for the award. United fans meanwhile can ensure he wins the award by voting for Telles' goal here.
