Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has been pictured wearing a protective boot ahead of Thursday’s trip to Tottenham.
The Portugal international appeared to pick up an injury during Sunday’s FA Cup semi-final win over Brighton at Wembley and was replaced in the 101st minute.
Having already lost Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane, albeit to varying degrees of severity, any further injury to a key player would prove a major blow to United.
While Spurs were thrashed 6-1 by Newcastle on Sunday, they do have one of the better home records in the Premier League after winning 11 of their 16 games.
A victory would take them only three points behind United in the race to qualify for next season’s Champions League, albeit having played two more games than Erik ten Hag’s side.
After the game at Wembley, Fernandes’ wife posted a photo of the midfielder wearing a protective boot at home, while a pair of crutches were also visible.

Fernandes scored the second in United’s 2-0 win over Spurs in October, the game during which Cristiano Ronaldo stormed down the tunnel before full-time to all but seal his exit from the club.
