A man who admitted making threats to kill Victorian federal MP Anne Webster has been handed a good behaviour bond.

Simon Geoffrey Raymond has pleaded guilty in a Brisbane court to three counts each of using a carriage service to make a threat to kill and using a carriage service to menace, harass or cause offence, and one count of using a carriage service to make a threat to cause serious harm.

Raymond, then 39 and of no fixed address, was arrested by the federal police at Brisbane International Airport in July.

Some charges related to emails and phone calls between March 6 and April 25 to National Party MP Anne Webster, who holds the seat of Mallee in Victoria's northwest.

The phone calls and emails, originating from the Darwin area, followed repeated previous correspondence and contained threats to kill that were intended to leave Dr Webster in fear of the threats being carried out, police alleged in court documents at the time of Raymond's arrest.

One alleged threat was made at 11.43pm on April 14 and the documents state emails sent the previous month would be regarded by a reasonable person as being harassing, threatening or menacing due to the tone of the words used and demands made.

Raymond was sentenced to probation as well as the good behaviour bond after pleading guilty to the seven charges in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday.

He has been ordered to have no contact with the complainants for two years.
