Man sentenced for approaching young girls and sniffing their feet

  • Alexander Scott-Bowen, 24, has been sentenced at Bristol Crown Court after pleading guilty to seven counts of sexual assault against seven victims.
  • Scott-Bowen targeted predominantly young girls, engaging them in conversation about their footwear before grabbing and sniffing their feet for his own sexual gratification.
  • The offences occurred across South Gloucestershire between 2022 and early 2024, with Scott-Bowen continuing to target victims while on police bail.
  • He received a 38-week prison sentence but was released due to time already served on remand, and placed on the Sex Offenders' Register for 10 years.
  • A 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order was also granted, with Avon and Somerset Police praising the courage of the victims who came forward.
