Man rushed to hospital after early morning Coatbridge disturbance

A man has been rushed to hospital after an early morning disturbance in Coatbridge.

A large number of police vehicles raced to the Parkway Court area after receiving reports of an incident at around 7.25am on Sunday morning.

The 27-year-old male was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

Enquiries into the incident are still ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 7.25am on Sunday, 4 June, police were called to a report of a disturbance in the Parkway Court area of Coatbridge.

"A 27-year-old man has been taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow for treatment.

"Enquiries are ongoing."
