A MAN has been taken to hospital after a street outside a Rangers pub in Glasgow was cordoned off following a “disturbance”.
The police were called to Duke Street shortly after 3.20pm on Sunday after being made aware of a disturbance involving a “number of people”.
Emergency services attended, and a man has been taken to hospital following the incident.
Police had sealed off Duke Street, near Duke Street Railway Station, and the junction with Cumbernauld Road outside the Bristol Bar on Sunday evening, according to Glasgow Live.
One eyewitness told the news outlet that the police had been taking statements from members of the public while other officers were seen standing guard outside the pub.
Pictures shared online showed Duke Street closed off to traffic with officers standing near the pub entrance.
Drivers were reportedly asked to avoid the area while officers carried out their investigation.
The force confirmed that enquiries are ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a disturbance involving a number of people on Duke Street in Glasgow shortly after 3.20pm on Sunday, 13 September.
“One man has been taken to hospital and enquiries are ongoing.”
