A man who was in "agony" after being bitten by a spider admitted he "hoped he would turn into Spider-Man".
David Webster, 37, was bitten on his left calf by a small spider while lying bed. At first, he thought nothing of it as he thought it was just a "little nip".
But not long after the effects were devastating as he was in constant agony, and experienced pins and needles all down the left side of his body. The pain became too much to handle so the next morning he was forced to go to A&E at Grimsby's Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital.
