A man has been arrested after brandishing a knife at a member of the public.
Police were called to the disturbance on Paisley Road in Renfrew on Wednesday after reports of a person being threatened with a weapon.
Officers traced and arrested a 30-year-old man shortly afterward. He was found to be hiding from police in a nearby property.
The suspect was due to appear in court on Thursday.
