A man has died after a car flipped on its roof and landed on a roundabout in a horror crash in Glasgow.
Emergency services were called to Thornwood Roundabout in Partick after the alarm was raised at 1.01am on Saturday morning. Medics attended, but the 30-year-old male driver of a Mercedes GLC was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
The white car was still lying on it's roof at 9am on Saturday morning as firefighters worked to remove the debris.
A large police cordon has been erected from Dumbarton Road and onto Broomhill Drive to allow ongoing inquiries.
Officers investigating the crash are appealing to any witnesses to come forward. In particular, they want to hear from those with dash-cam footage.
Sergeant Paul Mellis said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died following this crash.
“Our investigation is ongoing and I would appeal to any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police to contact us. I would also be keen to obtain and dash-cam from motorists who were driving on this road around the time of the crash. Information can be passed to Police Scotland on 101 with reference number 0221 of 8 October.”
